Galway Music Residency presents its renowned multi-genre series LIVE once again at the new time of 3pm on Saturdays 4, 11 and 18 December on Galway’s iconic Druid Lane. 3 Kinds of Music went online during the pandemic across two digital festivals but is finally back in a live setting. Each event is curated by a special guest and will feature some of Ireland’s best emerging and established musicians in pop-up gigs throughout the weekend.

On Saturday 4 December in the Hall of the Red Earl, audiences will be treated to a carefully curated line-up by performer, musician and broadcaster and host of Simply Folk on RTÉ Radio 1, Ruth Smith. She has chosen Ruth McGill (soprano) & Niall Kinsella (piano), who will perform a set of songs by German composer Kurt Weill, and singer and guitarist SÍOMHA to take to the stage. ConTempo Quartet will take the traditional reins with a performance of Dave Flynn’s The Cranning and other Irish tunes.

This series of events is free, family-friendly, and donations are welcome, but booking is required. In light of increased Covid cases, capacity will be capped at 50%. Vaccine certs must be presented to gain entry.

TICKETS ARE FREE BUT MUST BE RESERVED VIA WWW.DRUID.IE
