Lunchtime with ConTempo’s ambitious project From Europe with Love continues with a focus on music from Luxembourg on Tuesday 3 March at 1:10pm in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.
This is Year Two of the Galway Music Residency’s series celebrating the musical heritage of the European Union, which explores the string quartet repertoire from each of the 27 countries. ConTempo will perform Laurent Menager, String Quartet in A Major (select movements), Alexander Mullenbach, String Quartet no.2, and Marco Putz, Memento.
This month, we are delighted that our guest speaker is music lover Jimmy McGing who spent 35 years working with the EU Commission in Luxembourg. The Port of Galway is the generous title sponsor of From Europe with Love. Admission to this event is free and open to all, though early arrival is recommended.
